It is not because of Kantara, it is because TB lodged a case in court against plagiarism.
You will never hear Varaharoopam if there was no NR from TB.
We all have heard what the music director is capable of making in the OTT version.
2 min silence for you who does not know artists need inspiration one way or the other. Varaharoopam is heavily inspired by NR but it is definitely not a cheap copy. Ask TB who are their inspiration and then dig deeper. You will find a lot of references.

Maestro ARR one said, classical music has a raaga for every emotion and be believes any song without ragas is unhealthy. There are 10s of videos on youtube by music experts clearly saying you cannot call it a copy of NR but you know what you don’t care.
And singaara siriye and apsara aali, just one note sounds similar and you are like whole song is copied!
Why don’t you just try substituting the lyrics of both the songs into each other and learn the difference yourself?
